The Valor VLR Superlight Blue is our most competition-focused gi — made from 380gsm pearl weave cotton for a noticeably lighter feel without giving anything up on durability. If you're cutting to make weight, competing in warm climates, or just want to feel unrestricted on the mat, the VLR is built for that.

380gsm Pearl Weave — Superlight, Not Fragile
380gsm sits in genuine superlight territory — noticeably lighter than a standard 450gsm training gi. You feel the difference immediately: less bulk, more freedom of movement, and less weight to carry through a long competition bracket. The pearl weave construction keeps it durable under regular training loads despite the lower weight, and every stress point is reinforced with triple stitching.
Tailored Competition Fit
The VLR has a tailored athletic cut — closer to the body than a standard training gi. Less excess fabric for opponents to grip, and a cleaner feel on the mat. Clean Valor branding keeps the look competition-sharp without over-branding.

How light is 380gsm?
380gsm is in genuine superlight territory — noticeably lighter than a standard 450gsm gi. You'll feel the difference immediately on the mat, especially during long training sessions or on competition day when weight management matters.
Is it durable enough for regular training?
Yes. Despite the lighter weight, the pearl weave construction and reinforced stitching give it the durability to handle regular mat time. It's not a fragile competition-only gi — it's built to be your daily driver.

How does it compare to the In Actione Kimono?
The In Actione is 400gsm with a more traditional competition construction. The VLR is lighter at 380gsm and has a more tailored cut — it's for grapplers who prioritise feel and weight above all else.
How do I wash it?
Wash cold and hang dry. Avoid tumble drying on high heat to protect the stitching and prevent shrinkage.
